The past two weeks have given me many awful flash backs to Gracie's first few colic-filled months, and made me want to wait even longer before we have a second. Between her stomach virus, cutting three teeth, and (despite what doctors say ) an ear ache the sound of screaming and crying have been the norm around here, and boy are my nerves shot!!! Today you could tell she was feeling better because she would actually play and laugh for an hour and then begin the crying again. Travis, however, gave me the best present i could ask for.... an evening to myself. He got home around 4 and after i grabbed a bite to eat i headed out the door. My plan was to run errands, and to take my time. Well i forgot how much quicker errands are with out the car seat/stroller/buggy-cover drama and what usually takes all day, only took an hour... so i decided to treat myself to a movie!!!
I went in bought my ticket for one (ignored the weird look the girl at the window gave me) and got some peanut m&m's and a large DP. I was so excited I couldn't see straight. The movie of choice was "Hancock", it was really good, especially the ending, but if you go see it keep in mind at the beginning he is an angry drunk, so the language is kind of rough. I know i got several weird and pitiful looks as people walked into the theater, but it was nice to watch a movie with out Travis correctly guessing the ending, or only getting to watch it during the short naps Gracie takes. After all was said and done i felt so relaxed, that i think i'm going to make this a monthly thing (as long as Travis is willing of course)
