Family Filled Weekend

I am so glad this was a three day weekend, because there is no way everything we did would have fit in otherwise. It was really nice, we were able to spend time with mostly all of the Brumlow side and the Johnson side.

Saturday we kicked off the weekend at Margaritas in Conroe, with Katie (Travis' mom) and Anida (travis little sister). They live in Zavalla TX (30 out of lufkin) so we don't get to see them very often, it was nice getting to catch up with them and they enjoyed seeing Gracie, she has really changed since they saw her last at only one week old.

Then we left there and went to Travis' Aunt Judy's house where they were hosting a craw fish boil, i had never had craw fish before, and once i realized the amount of work it took did not even come close to amount of food that i would get, i made my way towards the bbq chicken.

later that evening we went out with mom and dad to go to Mckenzies Burgers (the have a saturday night special). and unfortunately by then Gracie had all she could take and fell asleep during our dinner.

The next morning we went to church , and enjoyed the lovely Memorial day services. Then afterwards we went to my grandparents (maw-maw and pap paw) my cousins and aunt and uncle were there, and they spent most of their time on the floor playing with Gracie, and i know she would agree that jessica and rachel are very entertaining.

Then we went home and loaded our car and headed off to coldsprings to spend the rest of the weekend alone at my grandfather's lake house.

We fished and swam, and Gracie enjoyed it all because it was something new for her to do. Overall, even though Travis' and i were more exhausted by the time it was all over, we all three had lots and lots of fun, and hope to do it all again (only a little at a time though)
