On Saturday morning, We all woke up early to go to the church's Easter EggHunt. Even though it was early, it was still really nice, because Travis had the day off, so it was a fun family event. They split the groups up by age, Gracie was in the 0-5 group, and i will tell you, that those kids are cut-throat, and not the 5 year olds, the 2 year olds, my child included, there were kids crying all over the place because someone got 'their egg', you couldn't help but laugh. But Gracie took off with her hello kitty basket (thank you maw-maw, and the pattersons) and started grabbing eggs left and right, no matter who got in her way.lol
But Easter Morning, she woke up to find her first Easter basket, complete with all of her favorites, a new book, nmnms (m&m's), and some chalk, (and of course plastic eggs) before breakfast she had already read the book, eaten some m&m's, and gone outside(in the rain) to draw with her new chalk. But the Easter Bunny didn't stop there, Grammie, and Aunt Omi had a bunch of things for little miss Gracie too.
Gracie, got a bunch of outfits and pajamas from aunt omi, and a book, and marsh mellows, and princess sip-e-cups from Grammie. Needless to say, the Easter bunny was not stingy around our house this year
Finally, we got ready for church , and Gracie posed for her Easter picture in her new rocking chair, that daddy made her, he even
picked out the pink paint lol. Church was the usual for an easter morning, attendance was kind of low because of the heavy rain that morning, but Gracie had fun in the nursery playing with all of the kiddos. We went to visit Grandpa Hart in the nursing home after church, it was a good day for him, so that made it a nice visit, except for one little thing.... because it had rained, when my high heels hit the tile floor in the home's entrance way, i looked like that scene when Bambi walks on ice, and i hit the floor, to make things worse, i was carrying Gracie, but thankfully i feel gracefully enough she wasn't hurt, in fact, she said 'weeee' as i feel, such love. But all is well.

But when we got home, after we all had our sunday naps, it was time to hunt easter eggs again, Gracie had fun the first time, but after that she found better things to do, so Pop and i had to finish 'finding' the eggs. We all six had dinner together on the porch and then took group pictures together, all in all the day was a wonderful day, and i know that we will always remember it.
