To Lufkin and back again!!

This afternoon Travis, Gracie and I all loaded into the car and headed for Zavalla, TX (15 min southeast of Lufkin) to Travis' mom's house for a baby shower. The shower was for Gabbey and Sam's soon to be born son.

When we got there it had just rained, and was VERY humid, and Gracie let her discomfort be known...but the shower was nice. Gabbey got a lot of diapers, wipes, shampoos, and blankets. To my surprise not many clothes or bottles, but she did make out quite well.

Gracie and I had yet to meet a lot of Travis' mom's side of the family, best of all Gracie got to meet her only Great-Grandma (grandparent at that matter) on Travis' side of the family.

And then we left there, and drove to Lufkin to see some of Travis' old friends...First we went and saw his friend Gracie, so Gracie got to meet lil Gracie (we didn't really name our Gracie after older Gracie, we just liked the name. lol) And then we went to his friend, Brian's house.

It was a really nice day we got to see a lot of people and we got to do a lot of different things....but doesn't it figure we got home to find our main window unit had froze up...literally...the ice was about an inch thick inside and out...it was pretty funny watching Travis and Dad defrost it with hairdryers (no pics sorry). But needless to say it was a VERY eventful day!
